CLEVELAND WEB HOSTING - Don't get scammed! Read this article about Cleveland web hosting and what you need to know about some of the providers!

I have a very real word of warning for you – be careful when you’re looking for Cleveland web hosting companies. I had an expereince with one company that cost me close to $100,000 dollars and I’m still reeling from shame…

You see, I had a website that was growing by leaps and bounds and then, all of a sudden, my Cleveland web hosting provider shut down. To this day, I don’t know if the server blew up or the company closed but I had to rebuild my WHOLE site from scratch. In fact, my website was down for over 19 days and the traffic I had worked so hard to build up… Well, the traffic just vanished.

Cleveland Web Hosting – The Positives

The reason I went with Cleveland web hosting rather than some big, Fortune 1000 company was that I trusted my neighbors. I thought that my data would be safer if I could actually drive to the place where my servers were!

The truth of the matter was that I wasn’t backing them up the way I was supposed to… It’s not the Cleveland Web Hosting companies fault that I had no way of restoring the data. It was mine.

And I’ve found a couple web hosting companies in Cleveland that take their work very seriously! Especially if you’re looking for dedicated servers or virtual servers and don’t want to manage them in-house. Cleveland web hosting companies are perfect for that!

Cleveland Web Hosting – The Negatives

What can I say, web hosting is a critical business. It doesn’t matter if you’re hosting Department of Defense data or my own website, I want to know and feel assured that it’s safe and the Cleveland web hosting company isn’t going to pull the plug at a moments notice!

There are several negatives that I want to address. Well, they aren’t really negatives – more inadequacies.

Cleveland Web Hosting Firms Don’t Offer Grid Server Solutions

Basically, a grid server is where 10 or 50 or 100 servers mirror each other so that if one goes down, the other picks up the slack. I haven’t found a Cleveland web hosting platform that supports that unfortunately. I can imagine that the expense of such a system is pretty huge, but I’d happily pay for it for some of my larger sites and applications.

Remote Backups Of Web Hosting Servers

One thing I would like a Cleveland web hosting company to do is do remote backups of the web servers. I’d like this simply to avoid the problems I had with my last Cleveland web host – where I lost all my data and website files.

If I could know that the server was getting backed up in a secure location (other than the datacenter) I’d rest easier.

Cleveland Web Hosting – The Verdict

To put it bluntly, there are only a few Cleveland web hosting companies I would trust. I, however, don’t use them. I prefer to use a national web hosting company called Web.com. They’ve got high quality, cheap plans with unlimited bandwidth and space… I’ve been with them for about 2 years and haven’t had any trouble whatsoever!
